Easy Vegan Almond Nog

Yield: 1 serving | Prep time: 2 minutes | Cook time: 0 minutes | Total time: 2 minutes

I found some almond nog at Whole Foods and couldn't resist trying it! I've never liked egg nog, but it turns out I just didn't like the egg flavor. This almond nog is much lighter, sweet, creamy, and doesn't taste like egg at all. A few of my non-vegan family members tried it and said they like it better than traditional egg nog! It's a great vegan holiday drink for sitting around a fireplace with your loved ones. Try this Easy Vegan Almond Nog and let me know what you think by leaving a comment below!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup almond nog (find it at Whole Foods)

  • 1 1/2 oz whiskey (I use Southern Comfort)

  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

  • 1/8 tsp ground ginger (optional)

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • Ice

Directions:

  • In a glass, add in your ice, whiskey, and nutmeg.

  • Pour the almond nog over the ice.

  • Stir well with the cinnamon stick.

  • Enjoy!

Tips and Tricks:

  • If you're making a large batch for a party, do not add ice since it will melt and water down the nog. Instead, put some ice into individual glasses and pour the almond nog over the ice when you're ready to serve.

  • The ground ginger is optional, but I liked the spicy flavor it added to this cocktail. I'm also heavy-handed on the nutmeg, so you can cut that back to 1/8 tsp for less spice if desired.
